Leonardo
Meschini was born in 1973 in Civita Castellana, Viterbo (ITALY).
Living
a bucolic childood in the classic provincial calm trasmitted to hi
man innate sensibilità towards nature and animals: he began to
discover, admire and know a fascinating world and he needed to
represent it and its fascination.
He
wanted to be master of several illustrative techniques, so he
studied at European Istitute of Design in Rome; where he got his
dipolme and confirmed his natural bent for scientific-naturalistic
illustration.
In
the course of the years he was keen on mountains trakking,
adventures journeys and naturalistic photography.
So he changed
working commissions into life experiences.
In
1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2002 he it has been selected to the
extension illustrators at Children’s
Book Fair in Bologna.
Today he collaborates with national and
international publishers.
In
addition to his classic illustrive abilities he uses also other
different drawings techniques: Trompe
l’oeil, Diorami, airbrush and advertising graphics.
Among
his last working experiences there is a collaboration with an
underground group, INERTIA, winner
of musical contest “EMERGENZA ROCK”, in Rome. Leonardo
has planned and realized INERTIA’s album sleeveslike “Archivio
Zero”, “La dottrina degli uomini semplici”, “Industrie
monouso”, and “L’ultima notte del generale”.
